Bump progress

Bump is certainly getting bigger (nothing to do with the amount of ice cream I'm eating at the moment!) and has recently been making its presence felt with a good few well placed kicks. So with much excitement Rich and I went to have the second bump scan to see what he is looking like now.

You can now see bump's spinal cord and even the separate chambers of bump's heart. Bump had everything measured and all seems to be progressing well which was a great relief. Little bump has now become big bump... I just wonder how much bigger bump is going to get in the next 3 months!

Crochet reef exhibition

Thea and I have been involved in producing some of the crochet corals for the current Hyperbolic crochet coral reef that is being exhibited in the Southbank centre at the moment. We both attended a workshop recently on how to make the corals and even though we were both really enjoyed it we found it hard going to make much at all.

Sadly I can't show you any of the photos from the finished reef display itself as Rich took the camera with him today for a BBC geek fest called 'Hack day' to give you an idea of what I'm talking about when I say 'hyperbolic crochet' I've included a close up photo of one of the corals that I made.

Due to bad advertising we didn't actually get to see the UK reef itself as we got confused by an exhibit that just showed the work that was on tour all the way from America. Hopefully I'll get a chance to visit again before the exhibit closes and maybe even get to take some photos of it this time!
